What to expect during your Sofwave treatment
Before your first session
Come as you are. Prior to treatment, we apply an ultrasound gel to the skin, this allows the Sofwave energy to pass through cleanly and keeps the session comfortable throughout.
During treatment
The Sofwave device delivers multiple synchronous ultrasound beams to the mid-dermis. Sessions take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. You may feel gentle warmth, most patients find the treatment comfortable.

After treatment
No downtime is required. There is no peeling, bruising, or recovery period. You can resume your normal routine immediately. The skin may appear mildly flushed for a few hours, which resolves on its own.

What results look like
Results are cumulative, not immediate. After the first session, treated hairs shed over two to three weeks, the area will not look dramatically different right away.
By the third or fourth session, most patients notice a real reduction in density and regrowth speed. Hair that returns comes back finer and lighter. After a full series, most patients achieve 80 to 90 percent permanent reduction and simply stop thinking about the area.

Most patients achieve their results with one to two treatments, depending on skin condition and individual goals. We assess this during your consultation before any session is scheduled.
No. Sofwave is noninvasive with no required downtime. You can return to your normal routine immediately after treatment. Mild, temporary redness may occur for a few hours and resolves on its own.
Collagen regeneration is a gradual biological process. Most patients see progressive improvement beginning around four to eight weeks post-treatment, with the most notable results appearing in the 12-week period following their session.
A topical ultrasound gel is applied before treatment begins. During the session, you may feel gentle warmth as the ultrasound energy is delivered. There is no discomfort afterward, and no special aftercare routine is required.
Sofwave is clinically proven to be safe and well-tolerated. The most common post-treatment reaction is mild, temporary redness that resolves within a few hours. There is no risk of surface skin damage, the epidermis is continuously protected throughout treatment by the integrated Sofcool™ cooling system.
For patients currently using GLP-1 medications, timing matters. If you are still in an active weight loss phase, we recommend waiting until your weight has stabilized before undergoing Sofwave. Skin continues to change during rapid weight loss, and treating before that process is complete is likely to limit your results. Once you have reached your desired weight and your skin has had time to settle, Sofwave can be an effective next step. We will discuss this during your consultation.
Yes. The two approaches target different aspects of aging and work well in combination, Botox addresses muscle movement and volume, while Sofwave stimulates collagen production to improve laxity and firmness from within the tissue.
Timing matters, however. If you are planning both, Botox or fillers should be done at least two weeks before your Sofwave session. The heat produced during Sofwave can interfere with how injectables settle if the interval is too short. The reverse has no such restriction, Sofwave first, then Botox or fillers immediately after is fine.
